A high-performance junior race boot built on the wider PV last, designed for ambitious young athletes who need real race architecture in a fit that works for more typical kid foot shapes. The 100/90 flex is properly stiff for a junior boot, but tunable down for athletes still building strength.

Why we like it:

The PV last is the key story here. Most junior race boots are built narrow on the assumption that all young racers have low-volume feet, which simply isn't true. The 1750cc PV volume gives kids with average or higher-volume feet a real shot at getting into a race boot without their toes screaming after one run.

Who it's for:

Ambitious junior racers and advanced young skiers, especially those with medium to higher-volume feet who don't fit the narrower RV last.

Highlights:

HEAD spec'd this as a Professional-level junior race boot, which is a step above the typical kid-line product. The PV 1750cc last runs in the mid-90s mm width range, giving real working room for growing feet without sacrificing the snug heel pocket that race boots demand. The Jr PRO EVO liner uses an HP frame footbed, has optional laces, and a 45mm Velcro power strap. The shell is short-cuff for junior leg length, with FIS-approved sole thickness, race balance geometry, 13 degree forward lean, and 4 degree ramp angle, the same numbers as the adult WCR line. Cuff alignment and rear support tuning are bootfitter-friendly features that let the boot grow with the athlete. The 100/90 flex tuning means a lighter young racer can run the softer setting, then progress to the full 100 as they put on muscle.

Things to consider:

This is a serious race boot, not a beginner training boot. Skiers without a strong stance or solid basics will get pushed around by the flex. Also, the PV last won't work for kids with truly narrow feet; those athletes want the WCR 5 SC RV instead.

Fit & sizing considerations:

True to size, with a snug race-junior fit. The PV last gives more room than typical race boots but still fits race-tight.
